So, it’s safe to say that growing up means you get to be an irresponsible spender. like buying anime keyboards for your weeb themed gaming setup. No, I’m actually serious. You’d think I’d grow out of my phase of being an anime nerd when I reached uni, especially after looking at the prices for some of the stuff. Only for me to just rekindle that love altogether and now having the money to fund it.
The other thing that I got into was gaming. And, well, when you combine that with a love for all things pop culture, it means you want merchandise that represents the things you like. But being grown means you want that merch to be functional as well. And as much as I love Nendroids, something that I can use daily is much more enticing. And considering a big part of my life is spent on the computer, whether it’s for gaming or work, anime keyboards are definitely an good option. So, how about anime keyboards that elevate your aesthetic?
I know many won’t consider them a necessity. But when is any fan merch really a need, right? I mean, the purpose of collecting themed items is just for fun. Like, it doesn’t have to be that serious. But at the same time, I love the idea of being reminded of the things I love. It’s why my current PC is themed to represent Persona 5 Royal, down to the color scheme and even the icons. It’s simply something that makes you happy.
And it’s fascinating how many designs companies like ASUS can come up with for something as normal as a keyboard, elevating it to be much more of a personalized item. Though customized keycaps are available all over the internet, anime keyboards that are already pre assembled are much rarer. But in any case, here is a list of the top 8 anime keyboards to make your aesthetic stand out, in another segment of Get Ranked!
Table of Contents
8. Slim Anime Mechanical Keyboard – Dubsnatch
Okay, so we are going to start off right with this keyboard that looks straight out pastel vaporwave dreams. The Slim Anime Mechanical Keyboard by Dubsnatch is a real treat for anyone looking to add some charm to their PC setup.
I’m a big fan of pastel colors, and the dreamy Makoto Shinkai vibes here are immaculate. It’s not as in your face as some other keyboards on this list, so it’s perfect for the lowkey weebs out there.
7. Razer BlackWidow V3 – Green Switch
Anyone who has been following this site for a while knows that we are kind of obsessed with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners here. And yes, that anime was definitely better than the game it was based on.
However, the Cyberpunk aesthetic has bled its way through gamers and anime lovers alike, which is why the Razer BlackWidow V3 – Green Switch is such a cool release. The pulsating neon blue mixed with that pulsating neon green on this anime themed keyboard feels like it’d be right at home with the glitz of Night City, hiding the grimy underbelly underneath.
6. HyperX Alloy Origins Naruto Edition Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
You tell me something has the word ‘Naruty’ in it and I’m already folding. As a lifelong fan of Naruto Shippuden, this keyboard hits all the right check marks without being too mainstream. The HyperX Alloy Origins Naruto Edition Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is a mouthful, but the organe and black slashes across it are characteristic of Naruto’s journey.
5. Wireless Cute Kitty Keyboard
It has ears! Cute, cat ears! Like, what more justification do you need? No but seriously, if you’re a fan of anything Hello Kitty, the Wireless Cute Kitty Keyboard from Dubsnatch is just one of the best homages to Sanrio’s greatest.
Its pink and white theming is so on brand for what it’s trying to emulate, with style that is evocative of the early 2000’s. And bonus? It comes with a mouse as well, so you get to have a matching set!
4. ROG Strix Scope TKL Gundam Edition
I’ve only recently become a fan of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, but I am ready to start my collection. Normally, you’d start with Modelling Kits, but if that hobby is too much work, then you’d look into other merchandise options. And the ROG Strix Scope TKL Gundam Edition is such a treat for any Gundam fanatics out there. I love how the color scheme is evocative of the classic Gundam aesthetic, without being too ‘in-your-face’. You might not be able to control any mecha suits with this, but it still looks incredibly cool.
3. K70 RGB TKL JOJO Stone Ocean Mechanical Gaming Keyboard – Jotaro Edition
Maybe I just have a thing for purple keyboards because the K70 RGB TKL JOJO Stone Ocean Mechanical Gaming Keyboard – Jotaro Edition is honestly so neat to look at. Like, first off, of course anything linked to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is going to sell hard. But the fact it’s Jotaro themed is the cherry on top. And with how colorful and extra the aesthetic of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is, this anime themed keyboard plays perfectly with its custom keys and silhouette of Jotaro Joestar.
2. ROG Strix Scope RX EVA Edition
Another mecha inspired anime keyboard? You bet! But honestly, between the Gundam anime keyboard and this one, I think the ROG Strix Scope RX EVA Edition takes the cake. Neon Genesis Evangelion is such a cultural landmark when it comes to anime, so this keyboard inspired by the EVA suits needed to be on point. And with its beautiful purple color scheme and keys that are inspired by the neon green controls on the EVA system, this is probably one of the coolest anime keyboards I’ve ever seen.
1. Magical Girl K1 Pro – Keyboard
After how much I’ve harped about Sailor Moon and the Magical Girl genre in anime itself, no one should be surprised that this is my top pick out of all the anime keyboards we’ve discussed so far. I mean, it’s got the freaking Moon Wand on it! And the pastel color scheme practically screams Cardcaptor Sakura vibes. It’s pretty, yet fun and follows the magical girl anime theme perfectly. If I could buy any one of these, it’s going to be this top ranked anime keyboard.
And there you go. These were my top picks for the top anime keyboards on the market as of now. Which ones would you pick? Sound off below and let us know!
