If you’re anything like me, you might get attached to fictional characters while watching an anime. What’s more is that when that character gets hurt – or worse, dies – it can ruin your entire mood. Well, good news, I will show you various anime where no one dies so you won’t have to worry about feeling sad.
While I can cheat and put almost every sports anime on this list, I won’t do that since that genre might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Plus, there are some underrated anime on the list as well that I think are worth watching if you haven’t already.
Rest assured, you can relax while watching all of these anime because no character will die. With that said, let’s dive right in and get started.
Table of Contents
7. Yuri!!! on Ice
Let’s start this list with a cool anime, Yuri!!! on Ice (pun intended). As the name might suggest, the anime is about ice skating with a romance subplot as well. While some people might call it the “Yaoi ice skating anime“, it offers much more than that.
Overall, Yuri!!! on Ice is a wonderful anime that can get quite emotional at times. However, thankfully, no one dies, so, you can watch it without any fear.
6. The Anthem Of The Heart
I randomly watched The Anthem Of The Heart one day and it was one of the best decisions of my life. Surprisingly, I don’t see a lot of people talking about this which is a shame. The main narrative explores some serious topics that can get a bit deep at times.
There are tons of sad and emotional moments throughout but you can know for a fact that every character makes it to the end.
5. Prison School
Hear me out before you judge me, I know the anime is quite sus at times but you have to admit that it fits the criteria. As you might have guessed by now, no one dies in Prison School. Surprisingly, the anime has quite a few wholesome moments as well.
If you are looking for a light-hearted comedic anime – with some (ok, maybe a lot) ecchi on the side – Prison School fits the bill quite nicely.
4. Bocchi the Rock!
As a massive fan of K-On! (another anime where no one dies, by the way) seeing another anime about a girl band made me feel all giddy. Hitori “Bocchi” is a socially anxious girl who loves to play the guitar – relatable Bocchi, relatable.
The interaction between all band members feels fluent and you can see everyone growing together in each episode. Luckily, no one dies in the anime or I would have been absolutely devastated.
3. Yuru Camp
This is one of the most wholesome and laid-back anime – yes, I enjoy making puns – I have ever watched. The main cast is filled with likable characters that you just want to see happy. Thankfully, every character stays alive till the end.
Throughout the series, there are tons of wholesome moments and interactions between the characters that make watching this anime worth it. The overall dynamic between the cast feels natural and always puts a smile on my face.
2. A Silent Voice
Well, this isn’t technically an anime – since it’s a movie – I just had to include A Silent Voice on this list. Despite no one dying in A Silent Voice, it is one of the most heart-wrenching stories that will surely bring tears to your eyes.
The characters are extremely lovable as well – especially Shoko Nishimiya (she literally deserves the world). This isn’t a typical movie about “love” either, it’s much more than that. While Shoya comes close to death, thankfully, he survives – whew!
1. Kuroko no Basket
Let’s close this list with one of my favorite anime: Kuroko no Basket. As you can expect with almost every sports anime, no one ever dies. That’s not to say that you won’t find any sad or emotional elements in the series. You can expect to go on a roller coaster of emotions thanks to how well the narrative is written.
Every character in the series has their own goals and you just want everyone to succeed. While certain characters get potential career-threatening injuries, but hey, at least no one dies.
While all of these anime include emotional elements, you can rest easy knowing that every character will make it to the end of the series. Which anime is your favorite from this list? Should we have added something else? Let us know in the comments below!
