Death Note

Death Note follows Light Yagami, a brilliant high school student whose life changes when a shinigami named Ryuk drops a mysterious black notebook. The Death Note gives Light the power to kill by writing in it, placing life-and-death authority in his hands. Convinced he can use that power for good, Light begins targeting people he considers evil. What starts as one student's attempt to reshape the world quickly raises a more unsettling question: what happens when a single person decides who deserves to live?
