Death Parade

People who die at the same time can find themselves in Quindecim, a luxurious bar situated somewhere between heaven and hell. Its bartender, Decim, is actually an arbiter responsible for deciding whether a soul deserves reincarnation. To expose the character of the dead, he forces patrons into seemingly simple games whose cruel twists push them toward fear, desperation, and conflict. Decim is accustomed to treating judgment as a clear matter, but that certainty begins to erode when he encounters a mysterious young woman whose fate he cannot easily decide. Her presence challenges both his methods and the assumptions behind the system, raising a larger question about whether anyone is truly qualified to judge another person's soul.
