From Rising of the Shield Hero and Kaguya-Sama to Skeleton Knight in Another World and Demon Girl Next Door; there are thousands of wonderful anime that are yet to be released in the Spring 2022 season. Amongst them lies the much-anticipated anime continuation, Spy x Family.

The second part of the first season, consisting of the remaining 13 episodes will be released in late 2022. The anime series is based on the manga series of the same title by Tatsuya Endo.

The studio in charge of the animated series is Wit Studio and the lovely studio CloverWorks (All hail CloverWorks). The series is directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, with character design by Kazuaki Shimada, while Kazuaki Shimada and Kyoji Asano are chief animation directors.

What is Spy X family about?

The anime series takes us down the life of master spy Twilight who must disguise himself as a psychologist Loid Forger and build up a fake, mock family in order to get close and personal with the political leader Donovan Desmond.

His “wife” Yor, is actually an assassin known as the Thorn Princess, while his “daughter” Anya has telepathic skills, making them the perfect family for a serious mission.

The Story So Far In Season 1

The show made its debut on 9 April 2022, and was received with open arms and got a fabulous global reception. The second episode of the anime series is set to be released on 16 April 2022.

The anime series gained a lot of popularity mainly because of its unique and out-of-the-box plotline, where a spy has to disguise himself as a common man, for the sake of spying upon the extremist leader of the political party.

With the series taking it slowly, Twilight had to adopt a child and keep her in the same school as the leader’s son; now all that’s left for his plan to be completely bulletproof is to acquire a wife, which we were graced to watch in the second episode.

Consequently, the story follows to a point where we get to see Anya’s progression through the school system along with her silly yet cute psychic antics.

Spy x Family Season 2: Release Date

Season 2 will most probably be released in late 2023, as the second part of season one consisting of the remaining 13 episodes will be ongoing till the start of 2023. The show itself has broken all the barriers and exceeded the expectation of fans all over the world, I mean how could you not love ANYA!?

Moreover, the show has been featured on Google Trends every day since its release, with fans utterly desperate to know everything and anything about the new show.
