After his battle with Magia Lupus, Mash Burnedead's secret is exposed, placing him directly before the Bureau of Magic and the Divine Visionaries. Their judgment is severe: Mash should die for what he is. Before the matter can be settled, Innocent Zero intervenes and insists that Mash remain alive. Although Mash demonstrates that he can fight the organization, the Divine Visionaries do not abandon their verdict. With support from Rayne Ames and Headmaster Wahlberg Baigan, his execution is postponed under a demanding condition: Mash must become a Divine Visionary candidate before the end of the year while the threat of Innocent Zero remains unresolved.
