Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

The great adventure is already over when Frieren begins a different kind of journey. The elf mage and her companions defeated the Demon King and restored peace, but Frieren's long lifespan means she experiences the passing of time very differently from the humans around her. Decades after the victory, the funeral of one of her former companions forces her to confront how little she understood the lives and feelings of the people who traveled beside her. Frieren sets out again, this time carrying the last wishes of her comrades with her. Rather than pursuing the same quest as before, her new travels become a way to better understand life, memory, and the people whose comparatively brief lives leave a lasting mark on her.
