Fate/stay night

After losing his parents in a catastrophic fire, Shirou Emiya is raised by a mysterious sorcerer and learns only a small amount of magic. His limited training suddenly becomes far more important when he is caught in a battle between powerful Magi and instinctively performs a spell beyond his usual ability, summoning a female knight to defend him. The event makes Shirou an unwilling participant in the Holy Grail War, a deadly contest between seven Masters and their Servants. Each pair fights for possession of the Holy Grail, an artifact said to grant any wish, forcing Shirou into a supernatural conflict for which he was never prepared.
