Does Grid End Up with Yura?

Yes. In the completed Overgeared novel, Shin Youngwoo (Grid) ends up with Yura, but not Yura alone. His real-world ending pairs him with both Yura and Jishuka, culminating in a shared wedding and honeymoon. Irene's marriage belongs to Satisfy rather than his real-world romantic life.

Spoiler scope: this article reveals the novel's romantic outcome and late-story relationship developments. It does not assume the manhwa has adapted those scenes.

Yura is an endgame partner, but she is not Grid's only partner

Overgeared spends a long time making Grid's love life look indecisive. Yura becomes emotionally important to him well before he is comfortable defining their relationship. She publicly confesses her feelings after a National Competition, and the story keeps returning to their growing intimacy rather than treating that confession as a one-off gag.

Much later, the novel is explicit about their status. Chapter 1684 describes Grid and Yura as a couple and emphasizes how compatible they are both personally and through their parallel goals in Satisfy. By that point, Yura's feelings are reciprocated.

What changes the apparent "Yura or Jishuka?" choice is that the novel ultimately refuses to make the two women mutually exclusive.

Where Jishuka fits into the ending

Jishuka is not a temporary rival who loses once Grid becomes serious about Yura.

Her feelings for Grid develop over a long stretch of the story, and the relationship goes through awkward stops and starts because Grid is uncomfortable with the idea of loving more than one person in reality. The ending is not built on Grid casually collecting partners from the beginning.

Eventually, the novel allows his relationships with Yura and Jishuka to coexist. The closing sequence includes their wedding, and Chapter 2058 follows Youngwoo, Yura, and Jishuka traveling together on their honeymoon. The honeymoon makes the shared romantic outcome explicit rather than leaving it at a confession or an implied future relationship.

So if the question is "Does Grid choose Yura over Jishuka?" the answer is no. Both are endgame partners.

For readers deciding whether to follow that development in prose or through the comic, our Overgeared novel vs manhwa comparison explains what each version emphasizes.

Irene is a different kind of relationship

Grid marries Irene relatively early inside Satisfy. Their marriage is not fake, disposable, or merely political. The novel gives Grid genuine affection for her, and Irene becomes central to his emotional growth. He thinks of her as his wife, builds a family with her, worries about her aging, and repeatedly treats her happiness as personally important.

But Irene is an NPC whose life is rooted in Satisfy's world. Yura and Jishuka are human players who know Shin Youngwoo in reality.

The novel itself recognizes that distinction. During later in-game marriage developments, Yura and Jishuka distinguish Satisfy from reality, while Irene and other Satisfy characters experience Grid's marriages according to the social and emotional logic of their own world.

That is why "Irene vs Yura" is not a conventional love-triangle question. Irene's marriage is not erased by Youngwoo's real-world relationships. She is also not the only wife in Grid's Satisfy storyline; naming her here does not give a complete list of his in-game marriages.

Does the manhwa have a different romantic ending?

The completed novel is the source for the ending discussed here.

The REDICE manhwa is an adaptation of Saenal's story, so the absence of a late-novel relationship scene in the portion you have read is not proof of a different outcome. The marriage answer comes from material near the end of the novel, not from an early comic confession or romantic hint.

Grid's growth is slow by design. His early selfishness, insecurity, financial desperation, friendships, leadership, and family bonds develop across an enormous story before his real-world romantic life settles.
