Biography

Thorfinn Karlsefni is the main character of Vinland Saga, a courageous young fighter who carries twin blades and travels with Askeladd's mercenary band. His goal is not simply to fight: he repeatedly seeks a fair duel with Askeladd to restore his father's pride. His hotheadedness can overwhelm his judgment in combat, often putting him at a disadvantage against more experienced opponents.

Story spoilers

The blades Thorfinn carries were inherited from his father, Thors. Askeladd killed Thors, and Thorfinn remains with the mercenary leader because he wants to defeat him fairly.
