Due to his achievements in war and his subsequent reign, he is known by titles such as "Star-Lord," "Prince of Light," and "Hero-King."

He refers to himself as boku or watashi and addresses others as kimi or anata. While gentle and mild-mannered, he possesses a strong will and cares deeply for his allies—more so than anyone else.

While the first king, Anri, was known as a "Hero of the Individual," Marth is called a "Hero of the Collective"; he excels at attracting people and leading them. Many enemy characters are drawn to his personality and eventually join his cause.

Possessing both martial and intellectual prowess alongside exceptional leadership, he embodies the archetype of a student council president. As the inaugural protagonist who defined the Fire Emblem series, his characteristics have been passed down to the protagonists who followed him.
