Your lie in April

Your lie in April follows Kousei Arima, a former piano prodigy whose life changes after the death of his mother and instructor. During a recital he suffers a breakdown that leaves him unable to hear the sound of his own piano, and for two years he stops playing altogether. His quiet routine with friends Tsubaki and Watari shifts when he meets Kaori Miyazono, a free-spirited violinist whose expressive approach to performance challenges the rigid musical world Kousei knew and helps draw him back toward music.
