Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku

Narumi Momose starts a new office job determined to hide the fact that she is both an otaku and a fujoshi. Her plan fails almost immediately when she runs into middle-school friend Hirotaka Nifuji, who casually exposes her interest in front of coworkers Hanako Koyanagi and Tarou Kabakura. Fortunately, both witnesses are otaku themselves.

Later, Narumi tells Hirotaka about a previous relationship that ended because her boyfriend would not date a fujoshi. Hirotaka proposes a more compatible solution: she should date a fellow otaku, specifically him. He promises to support her hobbies as well as her, and Narumi agrees. Wotakoi follows their awkward new romance alongside the relationships and everyday lives of fellow adult otaku.
