The Familiar of Zero

Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière studies magic at Tristein Academy but has earned the nickname “Zero Louise” because her spells repeatedly fail. During a test requiring students to summon a familiar, she hopes to prove herself with an impressive magical partner. Instead, she summons Saito Hiraga, an ordinary Japanese boy. Neither wants the arrangement, but Louise cannot repeat the summoning and Saito has no way back to Japan, forcing the mismatched pair to begin living and working together.
