Tanaka-kun is Always Listless

High school student Tanaka treats listlessness as a personal philosophy. He is inattentive, can fall asleep almost anywhere, and wants each day to demand as little effort as possible. His dependable friend Oota regularly helps with tasks Tanaka cannot or does not want to handle himself. Unfortunately for Tanaka, the quiet routine he wants rarely survives contact with everyday school life. New situations and the people around him repeatedly require attention, movement, or effort, turning his attempts to remain peacefully lethargic into an ongoing source of comedy.
