Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online begins with the release of a virtual-reality online role-playing game controlled through Nerve Gear. Once inside, the players discover that logging out is impossible: the game's creator has trapped them until someone reaches the tower's 100th floor and defeats the final boss. The danger extends beyond the virtual world, because dying in the game also means dying in real life. With escape tied to clearing the game, the trapped players are forced into a struggle for survival.
