Ranking of Kings

Prince Bojji cannot hear or speak and is unable to wield a sword, qualities that cause many people in his kingdom to doubt whether he can truly succeed as heir to the throne. His isolation begins to change after a chance encounter with Kage, a living shadow who becomes Bojji's first genuine friend.

The two leave together on an adventure that tests far more than Bojji's physical limitations. Their growing friendship gives the young prince support in a world that has already judged him unfit to rule. Ranking of Kings follows Bojji and Kage as their bond carries them through obstacles tied to the prince's future and his place within the kingdom.
