Sixteen-year-old Naho Takamiya receives a letter with an impossible claim: it was written by her twenty-seven-year-old self. The message describes events that have not happened yet and specifically warns her to pay attention to a new transfer student, Kakeru Naruse, who is about to join her class.

Naho is left to decide whether she can trust the letter and what its warnings actually mean. Its instructions appear to connect her choices in the present with regrets waiting in the future, especially where Kakeru is concerned. As the events described in the message begin to matter more, Naho must consider whether changing seemingly ordinary decisions could alter not only the course of her own life but Kakeru's future as well.
