March comes in like a lion

March comes in like a lion follows Rei Kiriyama, a 17-year-old professional shogi player who has recently begun living alone. Although financially independent, Rei struggles with a strained adoptive family, difficulty connecting with classmates, and a shogi career that has fallen into a slump. A very different kind of home life awaits him with the Kawamoto sisters—Akari, Hinata, and Momo—who warmly welcome him into their modest household. Their care becomes an important part of a story about Rei's relationships, setbacks, successes, and personal growth.
