Special detective Kohachi Inugami travels to a remote mountain village to investigate a disturbing series of animal deaths. His inquiry changes direction after he meets Kabane Kusaka, a strange boy willing to help him uncover what is happening. The case soon reveals that the killings are tied to cursed supernatural forces rather than an ordinary animal attack. As Inugami digs deeper, the mystery increasingly centers not only on the corpses but also on Kabane himself and the possibility that the boy is not entirely human.
