K-ON!

K-ON! follows carefree high-school freshman Yui Hirasawa after a poster for the Light Music Club captures her imagination. She signs up immediately despite one significant problem: she cannot play an instrument. When Yui goes to explain, club members Ritsu, Mio, and Tsumugi try to persuade her to stay because losing another member could mean the club's disbandment. A short performance rekindles Yui's enthusiasm, and she remains as the group's new guitarist. With help from the others, Yui begins learning the instrument while balancing schoolwork and the usual mishaps of daily life. As the school festival approaches, the inexperienced band must prepare for its first performance together.
