GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka

Eikichi Onizuka is a former biker gang leader attempting an unlikely career change: he wants to become a teacher. His motivations are far from entirely noble, and his past has done little to prepare him for the expectations of a conventional classroom.

Once he begins teaching, Onizuka finds himself opposed by strict administrators and a class of students determined to drive him away. Their tactics can be ruthless, but Onizuka is just as unwilling to follow ordinary rules. Instead of relying on standard teaching methods, he confronts school problems with the same fearlessness and disregard for convention that shaped his earlier life, turning the classroom into a battle of wills between an unconventional teacher and students who expect him to fail.
