Grave of the Fireflies

Grave of the Fireflies follows Seita and his four-year-old sister Setsuko after a World War II bombing leaves them orphaned. Trying to survive in the Japanese countryside, the siblings face hunger, grief, desperation, and the indifference of people around them. Their struggle is shaped not only by the devastation of war but by the fragile bond between two children trying to care for one another when dependable help is scarce.
