Fate/Zero

The Holy Grail is said to grant any wish, yet three previous wars fought over it ended without a victor. For the Fourth Holy Grail War, the Einzbern family places its hopes in Kiritsugu Emiya, a feared mercenary known as the "Magus Killer," binding him to the family through his marriage to Irisviel von Einzbern.

Kiritsugu enters a lethal contest against six other participants, each accompanied by an ancient familiar and driven by personal ambitions or ideals. His own familiar is Saber, while one of the most formidable obstacles before him is Kirei Kotomine, a priest pursuing his own answers. Fate/Zero centers on this battle for the Grail and the competing convictions of those willing to risk everything to claim it.
