Eden of the East

Three months after ten missiles strike Japan without any apparent casualties, Saki Morimi visits the United States on a graduation trip. Trouble outside the White House brings her into contact with another Japanese traveler, Akira Takizawa, who intervenes to help her.

Akira is immediately mysterious. He has lost his memory, carries a gun, and possesses a mobile phone loaded with billions of yen in digital money. Their meeting draws Saki toward unanswered questions surrounding Akira's identity and a recent attack that most people have already begun to forget.
