Dr. STONE

Dr. STONE begins when a mysterious green light petrifies humanity just as high-schooler Taiju Ooki is about to confess his feelings to Yuzuriha Ogawa. Thousands of years later, Taiju awakens in a world where modern civilization has vanished and nature has reclaimed the landscape. He soon finds his science-obsessed friend Senkuu, who has already been awake for months and plans to revive civilization through science. Once they discover a way to restore petrified people, Taiju's physical strength and Senkuu's scientific knowledge become the foundation of their partnership. Their plans face resistance as newly revived people bring competing ideas about what the new world should become.
