Dororo

Dororo follows a young orphan thief who encounters Hyakkimaru, a wandering and highly capable ronin carrying the consequences of a bargain made before his birth. Hyakkimaru's father, a feudal lord seeking power, offered parts of his unborn son's body to twelve demons. Born missing numerous limbs and senses, Hyakkimaru was abandoned in a river as an infant.

He survives after being rescued, raised, fitted with artificial limbs, and taught to fight with a sword. Hyakkimaru later discovers that killing the demons connected to his father's pact restores parts of his stolen body. He therefore travels through a countryside scarred by war in search of them. His meeting with Dororo brings the solitary warrior together with a resourceful young companion as the journey continues.
