Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

One year after the Black Rebellion, the Britannian Empire has reasserted its control over Area 11. The remaining Black Knights have disappeared into hiding, while their masked leader Zero is believed to have been executed. For many Britannians in the occupied territory, daily life appears to have returned to normal even as the Empire continues military operations elsewhere.

At Ashford Academy, Lelouch Lamperouge seems to be another student avoiding class and using his skill at chess to gamble. Unknown to him, however, several groups are watching from the shadows. A sudden encounter begins to expose parts of a past that have been obscured from him, threatening the ordinary life surrounding him. As those forces converge, the rebellion that appeared finished begins moving again, and the figure of Zero is poised to return.
