Blast of Tempest

Hakaze Kusaribe is the greatest sorceress of the Kusaribe family, a magical clan protected by the Tree of Origins. Her relative Samon turns against her, imprisoning her in a barrel and abandoning her on a deserted island while pursuing the resurrection of the destructive Tree of World's End.

From exile, Hakaze sends a message that reaches Mahiro Fuwa, a young man obsessed with finding whoever murdered his sister Aika. Mahiro agrees to help Hakaze if she uses her magic to identify the killer. The bargain soon pulls Mahiro's best friend Yoshino Takigawa, who loved Aika, into the conflict as well. Their personal search for revenge becomes entangled with a struggle between opposing magical powers.
