Black Bullet

Black Bullet takes place after the Gastrea virus devastates humanity by turning infected people into increasingly dangerous creatures. Survivors retreat behind enormous Varanium monoliths, one of the few defenses capable of stopping the Gastrea. Humanity's strongest countermeasure comes from the Cursed Children, young girls who carry the infection yet retain their human minds. Their condition gives them enough strength to fight Gastrea directly, but the same power makes others fear and reject them. Paired with partners, these children defend the society that depends on them even as that society treats them as potential monsters.
