So, it is safe to say that nothing is truly free in this world. Not even things that outwardly state they are. And nothing sucks more than getting into something and realizing you need money to finance your new obsession. Lord knows that’s what’d happen to me when I’d start a web novel and then, three chapters down the line, I’d realize the rest of it is stuck behind a paywall. It would throw me into a proper rage! But this is why webtoons have become so popular.
Webtoons on apps like Line WebToon are one of the most accessible and easy forms of content out there. Thanks to a payment model that focuses on releasing chapters weekly for free, while also allowing extra content available through a coin system, it ensures that both casual fans and enthusiasts stay hooked. Hell, I never thought I’d be buying coins, but Line Webtoon makes you want to do it. It also helps that there are plenty of opportunities to get those coins for free.
I know I just said nothing is for free, and it isn’t, but Line WebToon’s coins do come close. Coins are the currency of the app, bought in bundles and then used to exchange for stuff like extra chapters available ahead of release, aka the Fastpass option. Or you can access behind-the-scenes content where you can get bonus material from the stories and creators you love. All in all, it’s a mutually beneficial condition for everyone involved. The creator gets their work recognized and paid for, the consumer gets their money’s worth, and the app gets a cut.
But say you don’t live in a place where you can easily afford coins, or maybe you’re underage without your own source of income. So, how do you get coins then? Lucky for us, there is always some competition or new daily goal thing that’s going on in these apps. So, if you want to know how to make the most of your (non-existent) cash and access free coins, then keep on reading!

The Legitimate Way: Play the Long Con With WebToon Campaigns!
Look, there are shady ways of getting infinite coins, and we’ll get into that. But so far, this method has worked the best for me, and I’m not here to fix a system that isn’t broken. I have gathered enough coins in my webtoon-obsessed history without ever having to pay for them.
How? Welcome to Line WebToon and its weekly campaign system. Well, it isn’t technically weekly, but it happens often enough that it feels like it. The app almost always has some new promotion going on, whether it’s to celebrate a season or the launch of a new WebToon Original.
Basically, you fulfill a quota of reading a certain number of chapters per day. Or it can also be for just opening the app every day for a week and tuning in for your usual webtoons. Either way, once you complete that quota or collect all the stamps, you instantly get some coins.
Now, while I get this is probably a lot of effort for getting coins, it does work tremendously well. Oftentimes, the webtoons that count in that promotion are ones I’ve already read, so I can zoom past chapters and collect all the stamps in one go! It’s the most legit way of getting free coins, and the one I recommend!
The Shady Way: Scams Galore!
Now, there are ways to hack your way to unlimited coins for eternity. It’s the internet, there’s a solution for everything. However, those are the kinds of methods I would steer clear of.
Yes, you could cheat the system by doing some dodgy hack that you learned off of YouTube, or by making infinite accounts on the app. But those are intensely time-consuming, can harm both your account and your device, and bring loads of malware into your smartphones.
You might get coins sometimes, but you’ll definitely get viruses every time. Just for that alone, this isn’t something I’d promote.
Honestly, Line WebToon runs coin promotions literally every other week. So, it’s just better to lie in wait for those instead of risking your devices for an extra chapter of Lore Olympus!
